THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

Father Stephen de Young explained in one of the recent episodes of The Lord of Spirits (playlist) what Christmas is really all about and who Jesus Christ really is. In the West we lost all sight of -- not just the Christmas message -- but also of the metaphysical significance of the event for humanity and for creation. Many in the 'nones' sphere have implicitly accepted the old Arian heresy, not realizing that Christ is an hypostasis of the Triune God, let alone understanding the significance and implication of the Resurrection and its saving Grace. But that is a story for Easter. The Incarnation foreshadows this Great Event. Good news indeed in a rather dark time.
