🎻 Today on New Year's Eve and in the countdown to Theophany we continue our daily posting of traditional Greek Carols and Hymns. Today's the very popular New Year's Carol "Για σένα κόρη έμορφη" (Ya sena kori emorfi - For you my beautiful girl) from the island of Ikaria. It's so popular, we got three versions for you.

Dec. 20, 2021 Αυλή των θαυμάτων: Κάλαντα Ικαρίας [για σένα κόρη όμορφη]. (New Year's Carol "Για σένα κόρη έμορφη" (Ya sena kori emorfi - For you my beautiful girl) from the island of Ikaria). 

The second version of the Carol is by Aspasia Stratigou and Thodoris Mermingas accompanied by the Estoudiantina Neas Ionias (link). The Carol is part of the album "Να τα πούμε;" (Na Ta Poume? - Sing Along). The Greek lyrics are available in the description. For a translation we suggest Reverso.
