(CHRISTMAS 2025) A KALANTA A DAY: "CHRIST IS BORN"
🌿 In the countdown to Christmas we are posting a traditional Greek Christmas Carol or a Greek Orthodox Christmas Hymn a day. Today "Χριστός Γεννάται" (Christos Gennate - Christ is born), a Byzantine Christmas Hymn by Nektaria Karantzi. The hymn is included in the album LOGÓS/Λόγος, dedicated to Byzantine Christmas chant and the living tradition of Orthodox hymnography. Phonetic transcription of the Greek lyrics in Latin characters is available in the video, English translation in the subtitles.
