EU FINES ELON MUSK - US PREPARES 'GRANITE' RESPONSE

Much as I'd like, there is no escaping the looming show down in Europe, where -- dare we say -- it looks like the bureaucrats in Brussels have overplayed their hand in bringing the Digital Services Act (DSA) down on Trump ally, Elon Musk and his social media platform X [they're sooo clever 😨]. Per usual they seem to have been driven by toxic passion rather than by cold calculation. One single scenario is playing out every time. It happened in the case of censoring, as well as in the running of the war in Ukraine: the Biden regime and the US deep state put the European allies up to the scheme, they play along, quadruple on implementation at great cost to their own prosperity, Biden is defeated by Trump who counters the policy, the Europeans refuse to climb down because, well 'Trump' and they're left holding the bag. 


We know all this because Mike Benz, Executive Director of the free speech watchdog, Foundation for Freedom Online (website), has been on the case for the last few years, warning us this was coming down.

Benz first burst on the scene in a shocking interview with Tucker Carlson about his in-depth  investigations (link). If you are new to this subject, the interview comes highly recommended (all other Benz revelations to date: link). 

The censoring industry started in the Biden security state, colluding with its Anglo-Saxon counterparts with whom they had been running the Russia-Russia-Russia hoax against Trump in 2016 and beyond.

They then outsourced the endeavor to NATO and a host of security institutions and NGOs. Brussels was put under pressure to pass the Digital Services Act (DSA). Its fake 'parliament' dutifully obliged.

They had free reign, censoring away to their heart's content until Trump 2.0 intervened. Journalists like Shellenberger (link) revealed in a project called  "the Twitter Files" what the censoring industry had been up to and how the infrastructure was organized (link). 

Now we have people like Elon Musk, VP J.D. Vance and Under Secretary Sarah Rogers dropping the hammer. It's not just the DSA that pressures tech firms to do their own censoring. The suppression takes even more ominous turns!

The tentacles reach far beyond censoring opinion, ranging from oppressing political opposition, essentially destroying the base of the democratic edifice. They are using lawfare for human rights violations against ordinary citizens who dare to disagree with the destruction of their nation.

US Under Secretary Sarah Rogers on her European trip criticized free speech conditions in Europe, highlighting cases in Germany, the UK, and Scotland where individuals faced legal action over speech or expression. 



The Americans know that the EU's hapless 18 sanctions packages against Russia and the pathological obsession with Ukraine, are nonsense. It's theater. It's performance. When it comes to facts in the real world, this is the reality.


Is it any wonder President Trump is calling their bluff and is prepared to abandon the Europeans to their fate, letting them for once take care of their own security? You want more examples of the hypocrisy? Here's another:


Of course with the first sign of serious trouble, the Americans are called in because Europeans can't get a grip on the tyrants running their societies into the ground. Everyone has been asleep for the last, say 25 years. I know. I live here. 



But don't worry. Here they come, bailing out the hapless continent once again!


In the last few days we remarked on the madness gripping Europe's leaders (link). This can't go on. Sooner or later something's got to give. It can be anything from another mindless decision, to a simple mistake.

Their are areas on the continent that historically specialize in such mishaps. Or the front in Ukraine might collapse, if not the corrupt government itself. 

It's crunch time once again in the old countries, even though most citizens, while finally sensing there's something rotten in the state of Denmark, can't quite identify the crux.

Of course the European 'leaders'  are furious about the latest US National Security Strategy (NSS) that sidelines them as irrelevant and tells the naked truth: they are looking at a period of 20 years before the whole thing becomes unrecognizable. I'm not as optimistic as all that. 

Europe's leadership is like an adolescent miscreant who is making a mess of his life. When daddy tells him the truth and refuses to foot the bill any longer, dad is the evil man who is out to destroy his life. That's where we are.
