FAIRY TALE: "CHRISTMAS OF THE TWO BANDITS"
🌟The following is a Greek fairy tale written by Konstantinos Ganotis with the title "Christmas of the two bandits" (auto subtitles available in the cc button). The story has a distinctly Orthodox morality to it. It emanates an aura that seems vaguely familiar, yet is strangely other-worldly. Unlike in Western Christianity, the moral good is not in being an upstanding member of society, but in the capacity to repent. The author, Konstantinos Ganotis was born in Volos in 1933 and studied Philosophy at the University of Athens. There he served for two years as an assistant at the Dept. of Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology.

After lessons in ancient Greek were abolished in high schools in 1983 Ganoti founded so-called 'secret schools' where he taught ancient Greek himself. His textbooks were later reinstated in high schools.
