Yesterday we were presented a tale of two cities, two events that represent the past, the present and the future. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave a historical and inspirational speech from Pnyx Hill, the site of the classical Athens Assembly, against the backdrop of the Acropolis. At the EU's second headquarters in Strassburg (an issue by itself we won't get into) a less uplifting image was on display. One image painted a picture of a bright future based on past greatness and heroics based on national sovereignty, the other was one of the most based examples of what nihilism has to offer. The contrast could not be starker. You can watch Rubio's entire speech here.
Oct. 8, 2026 ET Now World: Marco Rubio in Athens as US Embassy Hosts Main Chancery Dedication Ceremony.
We just received footage of Rubio's participation in the dedication ceremony of the main Chancery building of the American Embassy in Athens, with the blessing performed by Bishop Theoharis Varnavas.
There is much to say about Marco Rubio's speech, which may be historical and is certainly inspirational, it is however for the most part based on Enlightenment myth.
You may have noticed Rubio leapfrogged from 450 BC to AD 1750. Centuries of history simply disappeared from the record. But this is not the moment to rain on Rubio's party.
My e-book, while not about that subject per se, necessarily converses on the lost period in question, detailing what really happened and why it disappeared. The book is now nearing completion and will be available here in the coming weeks.
The European Union, supposed US allies, thought it was a good idea to display a 2,5 meter high statue called "The Orange Plague", depicting a naked President Trump riding the shoulders of a frail man, while holding a golf club.

As Rubio was reverting to Greece's pagan past, a 2,5 meter high, gold-plated statue of President Trump in the nude called "The Orange Plague" was on display in the subsidiary of the European Parliament in the French-German border town.
The Danish artist had been invited by a member of one of the many Leftist factions in the voiceless Parliament. According to the artist, the man carrying Trump on his shoulders could also represent the EU.
The gold-plated work of postmodern "art" is meant to ridicule and tear down. It just shows how old, tired and out of touch this part of society has become.
Liberals can do this, because in their minds, the government has no opinion on art. They display, fund and facilitate but are otherwise agnostic.
The basis for all this is, is the Enlightenment sacrament that says you can't derive morality from the facts of material reality. Therefore, art is personal opinion.
They don't realize that displaying it in a public space, exposes their hypocrisy and mental states. These are not mature politicians, let alone statesmen. They're mental midgets with a chip on their shoulder who hate everything of value.
It's an attempt to tear down. But it reflects on themselves more than anything else. For the rest - least said, soonest mended.
🇪🇺🇺🇸 If Trump posts a questionable AI image on Truth Social, the media calls it a threat to democracy.
Meanwhile, the European Parliament literally installs a 2.5-meter statue of him completely naked in gold right inside their main building.
Imagine the absolute international meltdown if Congress put up a statue like this of a European leader inside the Capitol.
The double standard on what gets called "diplomatic protocol" is wild.
