(CHRISTMAS 2025) A KALANTA A DAY: "QADISH MORYO"

In the countdown to Christmas we are posting a traditional Greek Christmas Carol or an Orthodox Christmas chant a day. Today "Qadish Moryo", a traditional Carol from the Middle East by Farya Faraji (link). It is a Chant of the Aramaic speaking Christian communities, who speak various Aramaic dialects. Aramaic is a Semitic language and the language Jesus Christ spoke, closely related to Arabic and Hebrew. Aramaic and English lyrics are available in the description (link).
