EUROPE: A POWDER KEG ONCE AGAIN

Europe, or the EU (not the same), or more precisely, part of the EU, is hell bent on self destruction. The signs are unmistakable. The race is on for what will be the decisive blow. Of course you can only tell such things with the hindsight of history, but the policies and events are staggering. There's a lot of psychology getting into this, but our overpaid and overeducated psychologists are absent from the discourse. They do only woke gaslighting these days. So it's up to us to figure it out.

Nov. 29, 2025 TCN: The Spiritual Phenomenon That Is Destroying the West.

So how bad is it? Below is an appraisal of the economic 'power house' of Europe, Germany. I got no figures for the UK and France, but both economies are reportedly in deep trouble economically. And that's just the former 'great powers', the countries that once were the empires that ruled the world.

Tucker's podcast from the UK set me off wondering what needs to happen to a people to become so demoralized. Defeat is a psychological state of mind. You have to give up. It's the realization you can't possibly win.

The Greeks were conquered and lived under Turkish occupation for over four centuries. But mentally they never gave up. But unlike today's secularized Europeans, their culture was old and had seen empires rise and fall. Their faith and their religious leaders kept them strong. And when the time was ripe, they threw off the yoke.

Tucker's thesis may explain the state of mind of many of Europe's peoples living under the soft pseudo tyranny of the globalist world order today. But it does not include the state of mind of the people who are running the show.

Their mindset comes from an entirely different place. They are not defeated, at all! In fact, they are hell bent on war with Russia, one way or another. They may be delusional, but the are not defeatist.

Realism dictates that they should be aware of the impending catastrophe in the war in Ukraine, and somewhere, deep down in their hearts they must know that the gig is up. But they're not willing to concede, not just yet.

How a war with Russia -- or any war -- would help them in the first place, can be explained in a umber of ways.

- To distract from their corruption and failures, purposefully, as the case may be
- Or out of naked greed for Russia's minerals
- Or from the genuine fear of Russia in the case of some former Warsaw Pact countries (though my sympathy has run out at this point)
- Or from a historical psychological complex, too deep to even scratch the surface here
- Or any combination of the above

The jury is still out om that one  But it's immaterial for our thesis here.

Tucker's incisive observations sent me on a wild goose chase as far as Europe's ruling elite is concerned. Their mentalities can't be explained from psychology, because the roots of their insanity are philosophical.

These intellectual elites, from the Great Schism of 1054 onwards, have been building on a heretical theology (Arianism, which is alive and kicking by the way). This was followed up by several false ideologies that basically explained the universe as a hostile place.

Here's Nathan Jacobs about Nominalism, a world view that was introduced in the West, not a hundred years ago, but in the Middle Ages.

Building on that fallacy stemming from the Neo Platonist and the Gnostic schools, we are looking at the Neo Paganism of the Renaissance; the cold, mechanical world view of the Scientific Revolution and the individualism of the Skeptics; the move to anti authoritarianism and rebellion of the Reformation; topped up with the full subjectivism and the acceptance of contradiction thought up by the Enlightenment wizards. And hey presto, Bob's your uncle.

As cherries on top of the Modernist cake come Hegel and Karl Marx providing intellectual elites with a dialectic narrative that permanently pits one class of people against another. When you consider all that, the present state of affairs is now no longer such a great mystery.

This may sound abstract, but I can assure you that it isn't. By default we all have some world view or other, whether we are aware of it or not. Usually it is some incoherent mishmash of ideas based on spoon-fed feel-good factors. But ideas matter.

When I opened my X client this morning I was confronted by a stream of posts from Europe, that are suggesting a frightening level of delusion. The slide into the abyss is unmistakable, even if you're only slightly willing to face reality. A selection:

And so it goes on, and on, and on. And that's just a selection over the last couple of days. Okay, here's one more

It is even becoming clear how Orthodox prophecies may now come to pass, with Ukraine's increasing dirty war in which they keep attacking Turkish vessels, supposedly part of Russia's 'shadow fleet'.

We are one accident or stupid decision away from an uncontrollable conflagration. And it's clear the Trump 2.0 overlords are washing their hands off this madness.

If that doesn't turn Europe into an exploding powder keg, here's an eparchy that historically is likely to oblige. Will Vučić manage to save his nation?
