I drafted this post just after Tucker Carlson aired his interview with the US Ambassador to Israel,Mike Huckabee (video), which was the original subject. For various reason it got shelved, until this morning when I read the flurry of scurrilous attacks on Tucker Carlson on X. I polished the content and redirected the subject towards what is yet another vicious and personal attack on an individual man. Though FARA lawfare by the state is one thing, frivolous propaganda slurs from 'influencers' are quite another, even in a time of war.

On Feb. 20 Tucker Carlson posted an interview with Mike Huckabee (video). The debate touched on a number of issues, but what interests us here is not the status of Israel as a legal entity, or how the country projects itself in the world. The strip of land that is Israel is small and vulnerable. It was attacked immediately as it embarked on its Socialist agricultural experiment. That fact morally justified arming itself to the teeth and puts Israel in a category by itself. It build on the innate siege mentality that has characterized the Jewish nation since it walked into the promised land. Warfare is perceived as involving weapons, but war can be fought on many different levels. One of those is propaganda. Framing it as 'public relations' has the advantage of sounding cleaner, more civilized and legitimate.

The level at which propaganda thrusts itself upon us, is that of perception. It is not quite subliminal, but the target audience is ideally not aware of the message or the target. The essence is secret manipulation.
Since man has free will, no one is forced to accept the message. Therefore PR is seen as a legitimate means to expressing and pushing an opinion: in commercial ads, in politics, by the state and everywhere else you can think of.
Propaganda in the media and in ideologically tinted messages are a grey area. At least, that used to be the case. In the last decade the news has become a battleground for our minds. We've become so used to media propaganda, censoring and disinformation, it has become a fact of life.
Enter the state of Israel and its siege mentality. I think we are all very well aware by now of the very dominant fallacy that conflates criticism of the politics of the state of Israel with racist antisemitism.
Early November 2025 social media was the theater of a weeks long smear campaign against Tucker Carlson for interviewing juvenile loudmouth, Nick Fuentes. It came from the quarters of Fox News host Mark Levin and media personality Benjamin Shapiro. We wrote a few posts at the time about the issue (link, link).
Tucker has everything a reasonable man could want: A beautiful family, many good friends, he’s adored by millions, a warm and welcoming home, a staff that loves him, influence. He’s not egotistical, or driven by lust, or greed.
Worth watching is the contribution of a number of Israeli women, critiquing Tucker, 'The View' style on JNS News TV. JNS is widely described as 'Right wing' politically and with editorial positions that align with Conservative and 'hawkish' viewpoints (link).
I do not think I have ever heard anything more offensive in my life, and that's saying something. I am not particularly sensitive, but that degree of personal savaging is utterly beyond the pale. Is this the normal style of public discourse in Israel? It explains a lot.
And that is just in the secular realm. The subject of theology is a classic minefield, where booby traps and improvised explosive devises can be concealed in Bible texts and centuries old dogma. It is a magnet for propagandists.
It is essential for Israel's existence to keep a firm grip on the Evangelical Christians of the USA. Recently we have seen younger people lapsing just a little from the purist position of the cult that idolizes Israel over the God of Christianity.
In our post of Feb. 27 (link) we introduced you to Rabbi Pesach Wolicki, the Executive Director of Israel365 Action (YT channel), an outfit that promotes Israel "by building bridges between Jews, Christians and all who share our faith-based values", making sure no dispensationalist sheep strays from the flock.
The problem with propaganda is that it works both ways: you can use it to build bridges, but you can just as well apply propaganda to smear opponents and drive wedges.
In one of his recent videos we find Wolicki at the National Religious Broadcasting Convention (yes, that is a thing) judaizing a pastor with a theological hypothesis that could not be more antithetical to Christianity (link).
The essence of an anti Christian theology is the rejection of Jesus Christ as the Messiah. They pejoratively refer to this piece of classic Orthodoxy as "fulfilment theology". These people are dupes of Jewish and Israeli propaganda. There is no other way to put it.
With the present slander against Tucker Carlson as 'an agent of Iran' a line is being crossed. It looks like these propagandists will literally sacrifice anyone if it fits their agenda, which appears to be setting fire to the entire Middle and Near East.

I did not even know about the scarcely veiled threats against President Trump with the golden pager, as discussed above between Tucker and Brett Weinstein. A line has clearly been crossed.
