INTERLUDE: TECH DYSTOPIA LIGHTLY
I don't know about you, but I really need to get away from the bombs and missiles for a bit. In the in-tray we find a talk of Father Peter's brother, Peter Heers - who may be the best client in his own Georgian restaurant - with tech podcaster, James Poulos (YouTube channel). On his podcast, Heavy Things Lightly they tackle the modern technology empire that seems to be consuming all of us. James sums it up pretty well: "...we are all slowly becoming cyborgs." James Poulos is the Editor of The American Mind and author of multiple books including The Art of Being Free and Human Forever. He is also the host of Zero Hour at BlazeTV which will be returning soon.

With all the threats of panopticons, censoring and bio surveillance going on, I was thinking the other day, that may we should prepare ourselves for a day when we will be confronted with the question, must I submit myself and my family to this, or is it time to withdraw to the hesychast life in the analog desert? But we're not there yet.
And while we are on the subject of tech, a few weeks ago our Dr Porcu sat down with Jay Dyer's wife, Jamie Hanshaw to talk about his weekly lectures about technology and the secular state (playlist). They also review the classic 1927 German movie, "Metropolis".
