OPERATION EPIC FURY/RISING LION IN IRAN, DAY 3

Following our previous reporting (link), the operation by US and Israeli forces in Iran on Monday went into its third day. It looks like we are not going to do much else shortly, but we'll see where it goes. Nine Israeli citizens were killed and over 40 injured yesterday when an Iranian rocket landed in Jerusalem. American flagged oil tanker 'Stenna Imperative' was hit in Bahrain today. A fourth US service member has died from his wounds in Kuwait. The attacks on British territory on Cyprus are story on themselves. CENTCOM on X: "Two days ago Iran had 11 ships in the Gulf of Oman, today they have ZERO". Last night we saw that Hezbollah launched attacks from Lebanon into Israel for the first time since Nov. 2024. Israel is striking Hezbollah targets in Beirut.

Muhammad Ra’ad, head of Hezbollah's Parliamentary Council and leading member of the Hezbollah faction in the Lebanese Parliament, has been assassinated in Beirut (link).

Lebanon Prime Minister has said Hezbollah will finally be banned from the country. The Lebanese military will enforce the decision.

British Defense Secretary John Healey on Sunday morning said that two projectiles launched by Iran toward Cyprus had been successfully intercepted. He made the point to show that Iran is a regime that attacks widely across the region and this requires action.  But Cypriot government officials denied the event took place (link).

Today however two low tech drones were intercepted, which has been confirmed by the IRGC. These were drones originating from Lebanon.

Non essential personnel has been evacuated from both British bases. Limassol port ready for evacuation. Also a passenger terminal at Paphos airport was evacuated after a suspicious object was detected on radar, but has now resumed normal operations.

We must make clear however that the British bases are not the territory of the Republic of Cyprus which, for what that is worth, is an EU member state. Message of the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis (link).

Here's a commentator with an interesting theory why Iran wants to involve the UK in the war.

The Hellenic Defense Council has activated the unified defense doctrine of Greece and Cyprus. Defense Minister Nikos Dendias will visit Cyprus tomorrow. Reaffirming its role as a guarantor of Greek Cypriot security, Greece is sending two frigates and four F-16 fighter jets to Cyprus as security concerns escalate (link).

A senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned of intensified missile strikes on Cyprus, claiming the US has significantly expanded its military footprint on the island.

"The Americans have moved most of their aircraft to Cyprus. We will launch missiles at Cyprus with such intensity that the Americans will be forced to leave the island", Brigadier General Ebrahim Jabbari said on state-run media channel IRIB TV3 (link).

It looks like the Iranians (or their proxies in Lebanon) have identified Cyprus and its UK bases and American hardware as the soft underbelly. Small island, half of which occupied by Turkey. It is not difficult to imagine how this might become a war that turns Turkey against Greek interests.

Iran attacked a French military base in Abu Dhabi. British bases are under targeted attack in Cyprus. Yesterday we reported that UK nor France got any heads up on the upcoming attacks on Iran. Germany apparently was. Now they all want to join the war, saying they are ready to take 'defensive action' against Iran, according to AFP report.

But denying an IDF's radio station report, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said that Berlin has no intention of participating as it lacks the resources.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has been the laughing stock of social media over the weekend with her reaction that she will call a meeting on Monday.

When she sprang into action, first thing she did was call Turkish President Erdogan, expressing concern about instability in the region. She also acted outside her mandate, since this is the playpen of the other genius, Kaja Kallas.

Now Von der Leyen is calling for a 'credible transition' in Iran, contradicting the joint statement of EU Foreign Ministers who did not share the US and Israeli aspirations for regime change (link).

The EU leadership is suffering from severe incompetence, but Spain's recalcitrance comes from a different place. The far-left government under Pedro Sánchez has banned the US from using its military bases for attacks on Iran.

"Spanish bases are not being used for this operation, and they will not be used for anything not included in the agreement with the US or for anything that is not in accordance with the Charter of the ‌UN," Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said, speaking to Spanish broadcaster Telecinco.

Yesterday Jack Posobiec explained on Fox, why Iran is attacking surrounding countries. With the exception of Turkey and Azerbaijan, some have pointed out (link).

Posobiec also said it’s noteworthy that thus far, we have not seen the targeting of Iranian oil, infrastructure, pipelines, platforms, or refineries. "That remains Trump’s escalatory ladder".

Iran for its part has no such compunctions: Iranian drones have struck Saudi Aramco's Ras Tanura facility. Ras Tanura is the single largest oil export terminal on the planet. It handles roughly 6.5 million barrels per day — nearly 7% of global oil supply flows through this one facility.

Greece's Migration and Asylum Minister Thanos Plevris on Monday announced closer monitoring of Iranians seeking asylum in Greece, in an interview with ANT1 TV (link).

After military attacks on its facilities in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed, Qatar announced it is stopping LNG production. European gas prices surged fifty percent.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stunned the globalists on Fox News, coming out on behalf of Europe in support of President Trump's military action against Iran. In a style that only Rutte can manage, he also said that NATO forces won't join the US in the operation.

At the American home front there have been more terrorist attacks. 13 people were shot at Riverfront Live in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Closing with a number of general observations.
