THE EU IS OVER. THEY JUST DON'T KNOW IT YET
The EU is collapsing. Here's Glenn Diesen (Wikipedia) talking to an old style German aristocrat who was born just after World War 2 and who had a career in the various echelons of the globalist world order. Currently a Member of the European Parliament, Michael von der Schulenburg (Wikipedia) is watching the demise of the EU project in amazement, without understanding what is causing the fiasco. He's one of the few people who is even aware of the madness, yet fails to recognize that he himself is the best example of what's causing the crash. Which is typical for the mental and moral cause of the problem.

In the mindset of Von der Schulenburg's generation everything is relative. The very idea that you could fight a war in order to defeat the enemy, is just shocking.
It is rooted in the idea that World War 2 was caused by the German defeat in World War 1 as the victors demanded such high, prohibitive war reparations that it caused the rise of the National Socialist Party.
The notion then that weakness encourages bullies, is preposterous to that mindset, in that it would just be leading to an arms race. To Von der Schulenburg the current warmongering of the generation currently running the EU, is of course horrible.
He also sees the EU is a project of the intellectual and ruling elites. It has no roots in the people of the constituent nations. It never had because it is a club of Governments, not of people. This is the fatal flaw in its construction.
Yet EU officials are behaving on the world stage as if they have a mandate of the people, which they don't. For the EU and its leaders it's now all geopolitics, all of the time. The internal politics of the nations are not important as long as they pay for EU slush funds and continue to toe the ideological line.
Von der Schulenburg notes the animosity towards the US as well as to Russia. You can't be seen to like US President Trump in any way in Europe (note how he is covering his back), yet they expect Trump to acknowledge their importance as a strategic partner.
The EU continues to bully Russia's 'near abroad', in Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Belarus, trying to make them follow in Ukraine's footsteps as border states and war proxies for Project Seize Eurasia. The amorality doesn't bother any of the narcissists in the EU.
They interfere in the elections of member states with lawfare schemes, like they did in Romania. That is, if they can't freeze out political and ideological opponents by erecting so called cordons sanitairs, that in effect render the entire democratic process null and void.
Von der Schulenburg sees the economic decline, especially of Germany, remarking that the war spending plans do not add up. But who cares! The EU leadership lives in an abstract world, divorced from the physical reality on the ground.
A symptom of the rot was made visible recently in Egypt at the Gaza Peace Summit, to which no EU official was invited. It is stunning that they somehow feel entitled to a place at the table without regard of their actual power in geostrategic terms. This is the disconnect.
Matron Von der Leyen and her hate filled lieutenant Kaya Kallas are running the EU like a girls school, as well as the female feuds that go with such institutions.
Presidents Trump and Putin are conducting their dispute about Ukraine as men do: with the innate understanding of the balance of power, a slap on the back and a handshake to seal the deal.

They think power is in territories and in the number of consumers. They do not understand that power is in economic success, backed up by the art of soft and hard power. Not in consumption.
Yet the former 'great powers' of Europe are at the vanguard of cultural, economic and national suicide. They have the mind set and attitudes of vassals. Yet they want to play empire.
