"THE END OF HISTORY" AND THE END OF LIBERALISM

The madness we see today is the final iteration of a world view that first emerged in Western culture during the Middle Ages, in Scholastism to be precise. It is the rejection of the existence of universals, and with it objective reality. Philosopher Nathan Jacobs explained the finer details of Nominalism, that he calls the philosophy from hell, in this post. But it can be summed up succinctly as, thought creates reality. In other words, you are whatever you want to be. Many more ideological building blocks have been stacked on this fallacy since the Middle Ages: Humanism, the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment and Postmodernism to bring it to the point of insanity of where we are today. 


The fragment shows Dr Jordan Peterson talking to gay married journalist Dan Rubin, detailing how gay couples might nurse a baby without causing too much psychological damage to the child.

The scene illustrates the abhorrent levels we have now reached. Anyone with a remotely functioning moral compass can feel in his heart how this is a violation of the cosmic order.

But the way this fragment emerges from the archives and the timing of it, is highly suspect. Dr Peterson is quite ill, which should be taken into consideration if humanity has not entirely left us. Don't kick a man when he is down. 

Note that if your basic mentality is in Nominalism as is the case with Dr Peterson, there is no way you can disagree with the notion: if both partners want such a thing to happen and technology makes it possible, you're morally in the clear! 

But Peterson is not the intended target. The purpose of reposting this fragment at this tine is clearly an attack on Ben Shapiro, the Daily Wire CEO (or whatever his title and role is these days).

Shapiro is leading the current charge against Tucker Carlson, effectively dividing the MAGA coalition into two irreconcilable camps. Which was inevitable at some point, but more on this later.

It is however an opportunity, also for Jay Dyer to point out in depth his critique on the actual source of the madness and how we got to this point. 


People accept 'wokeness' as something new, but what it is, is a form of transhumanism; it is Modernity's end game. But that's hard to see when you are a liberal and you are focused on the advocacy of free speech, free markets and the free exercise of whim.

If the universe is mechanical and morally neutral as Modernity claims, gay reproduction is reduced to an engineering problem. Jay Dyer explains the problem with Liberalism -- which is the political ideology of Modernity -- in detail. Here meta Dyer.

But wait, the issue does not stop there of course! Dyer is in turn attacked by a so called Orthodox man with a history as a 'spook' on typical liberal grounds, which should be anathema to anyone identifying as Orthodox. Confusion is everywhere.

Inserting political correct cancel culture into Orthodoxy is a grave mistake in which ecumenicals seem to specialize. It outs these people as politicians. If he was a holy man, he would try to stay objective and argue from a position of mercy. But his hubris gives him away, of course 


Dr Porcu, who's weekly podcasts you can find on  this page, makes the case that Modernity, and all kinds of failed political ideologies of the past 200 years, such as Liberalism, Nationalism, National Socialism, Communism and Postmodernity are all branches on the same tree of the secular state. 

Thirty years ago Francis Fukuyama with typical Modernist hubris announced "the end of history", meaning that Liberalism is the end station of progressive human development. He was only partly right.

What he did not foresee was that Liberalism contains the seed of its own destruction. Which is what we are watching today and it is a sight to behold!
