China has sought for more than a decade to secure a supply of oil that would be immune from western sanctions should they choose to invade or blockade Taiwan. Venezuela and Iran are a key part of this strategy. If both of these governments fall, China won’t have enough oil to run an production economy and invade Taiwan.

Per interview with Erik Prince, the next flash point to look out for would be a Chinese quarantine of Taiwan. The question is, would the US in such a contingency act to defend the freedom of navigation at sea? With the Venezuelan oil supply cut off, this scenario will likely not play out.

The Mullahs in Iran, the Mexican cartels and the Cubans on the other hand, are not in a good place right now. I could name a couple of other political centers in the world that are also not as comfortable right now as they would otherwise would have been, some of which US allies and/or vassals.

Just a reminder that the beef of Trump with the Maduro regime is not just the trafficking of illegals, the Iranians, Hezbollah, the nationalization of oil (link) the cartels and the drugs, for which Maduro has been indicted in 2020 in the Southern District of New York (link).

There's also geostrategy but above all, it's the large scale election rigging out of Venezuela that has been going on all over the world for some twenty years, per the reporting of former CIA agent, Patrick Byrne (link).

Those shocked about the quick execution of the operation should read our reporting here which describes the tactic of asphyxiation that would take anything from 1 to 3 months and how that would work. As it is, it took 3 weeks.

As far as the oil is concerned, there have already been comments to the effect that, with the US controlling the oil from Venezuela in addition to Guayana's new oil discoveries, the US could end up overseeing half of the world's oil and gas reserves.
