GERMANY AND FRANCE PROPOSE 2 SPEED EU

You can't stop progressivism, by its very nature! If you thought public opinion or adverse political conditions could stop the globalist juggernaut, you don't understand the main sacrament of the progressive religion! So Germany and France are pushing for a two speed EU in order to overcome current 'policy inertia'. The EU's Franco-German motor wants to speed up action on strengthening the euro currency, cooperating on military spending and building supply chains for critical raw materials. Germany proposed a two-speed Europe with an E6 core group to fast-track integration.

The Washington Post has published an article according to which German Socialist Lars Klingbeil (Wikipedia), who serves as Vice Chancellor, federal Minister of Finance and co-leader of Germany’s Social Democrat Party, has said at an event in Berlin, that now is the time for a two speed Europe.

Germany, together with France, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands will take the lead in making Europe stronger and more independent from the United States. The whole idea here is, sulking and creating a rift in the transatlantic alliance since Donald Trump refuses to continue subsidizing the allies.

In a letter to five finance ministers of the biggest EU economies obtained by WaPo, Klingbeil wrote that he and French Finance Minister Roland Lescure were convening the group for a videoconference on Wednesday.

Klingbeil c.s. are figuring that, while there may be a risk that non E6 states could align with "non European powers", those states would likely do so anyway under any scenario of rapid EU integration.

However, most members would likely adopt E6 policies, while the influence of blockers like Hungary and Slovakia would be less severe. In his letter Klingbeil listed four major priorities for the six countries to tackle:

* savings and investment union to improve financing conditions for businesses
* strengthening the euro as an international currency
* better military cooperation on defense spending
* securing supply chains for critical minerals

Klingbeil does not mention this, but the inevitable consequence of this integration will be a fiscal union, as well as euro bonds to finance their military ambitions. Klingbeil: "continuing as before, is not an option". You must create the impression of inevitability!

The WaPo article concludes that the 27-member EU lends much of its strength from its size. Its population of around 450 million, is roughly one third larger than that of the United States. The fact contributes to the fallacy that power is derived from consumption, instead of production.

The narrative continues to be one of abstract ambition, strength in numbers and hair brained schemes. The reality is the exact opposite. In truth it's managed decline, economic weakness and spiritual nihilism.

The abrupt wish for acceleration does not come from a position of strength, but rather from the shock therapy at Davos that marked the end of globalism as far as Donald Trump and the Donroe Doctrine are concerned (link, link).

This is evidently a unique opportunity for non E6 countries to unglue themselves from the sinkhole of North Western Europe that is already the gutter of the Eurasian continent.

WaPo explains that achieving consensus among such a heterogeneous group of countries as the EU member states, can be challenging. Here's the rest of the yada yada.

"Just last week, after EU leaders signed the landmark Mercosur trade deal with South American countries, reluctant members of the European Parliament voted to send the deal to the European Court of Justice for legal review — potentially delaying it for months or years".

"As a result, Europe’s dominant powers have increasingly relied on smaller groups to take more decisive action, an approach known as 'minilateralism' on energy, defense and other priorities.

"While a two-tier EU might allow leading members to advance initiatives more easily, it also risks alienating smaller countries in the bloc and more recent additions from Eastern Europe, which have wielded less power in the union".

"Particularly as US President Donald Trump’s actions have suggested that the US is no longer as reliable a partner on trade and defense as it had been, Europe has felt an urgency to move on its own to boost military capabilities and revive the continent’s sluggish economies — occasionally running into obstacles from its own member states".
