GAZA 'BOARD OF PEACE' SHOCKS DIPLOMATS
It's slowly emerging what vision the unconventional world leader, President Trump has for Gaza. The executive body is to consist of some 60 national representatives of various countries, a sort of exclusive club with a membership fee of a billion dollars for a permanent status towards Gaza’s reconstruction (link). The Board will direct the ten member National Committee for the Administration of Gaza that will administer the territory. Some leaders have accepted or are considering the offer. Israel has objected to the inclusion of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Qatari diplomat Ali Al-Thawadi. Others have reacted shocked to 'the Board of Peace' proposal that they see as a rival to the United Nations.
