Father Peter Heers' brother John, on the podcast "Heavy Things Lightly" is talking to Andrew McLuhan, speaking from a Canadian cocktail bar. Andrew is the son of Eric McLuhan and grandson of Marshall McLuhan (link). He founded The McLuhan Institute (TMI) in 2017. TMI was founded to conserve and continue media studies in the McLuhan tradition, which arguably began with "Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man" (PDF) published in 1964. John and Andrew talk about re-enchantment, modernity and the difference between oral and visual cultures.
