(LIVE BLOG) VENEZUELA LIBRE: LATEST UPDATES
Venezuela elected itself into a Socialist dictatorship on 6 December 1998 sweeping into power Hugo Chávez, winning the presidential election with 56.2 percent of the vote. Assuming that election wasn't rigged. The rest is history, because from that point onwards, democracy becomes nominal and a mere means for the ruling cabal to legitimize their right to power. It depends on your moral standard if you are against the geostrategic master move by the Trump administration, or support it. But there are many who will have their cake and eat it too. Consistency is in short supply these days. The postmodern argument is usually not based on principle and consistency, but on binary party allegiance in terms of moral absolutism in the black versus white color scheme. The Venezuela coup is not just about heavy crude oil, gas, iron ore, coal, water, terrorism, Smartmatic election rigging, gold, silver, narcos, illegals, rare earths; it's about anything that matters on the globe.
