MIKE BENZ SPEECH: THE CENSORING INDUSTRY IN THE AI ERA

In a speech for National Conservatism 2025 organized by the Edmund Burke Foundation, Mike Benz, Executive Director of the free speech watchdog, Foundation for Freedom Online (website) listed the recent victories in the battle against the deep state censoring industry, since the inauguration of President Trump. The advance in just a few months is very impressive indeed. But he is warning that the tentacles have spread beyond the reach of the present administration. The EU + UK are particularly in the crosshairs since the implementation of the EU's Digital Services Act (link) in 2022. The tide is turning very slowly, but the danger is widespread, particularly in the UK, which is not a member of the EU, but is the spider in the web of the international censorship blob.
