DUTCH ELECTION: WOKE, GLOBALIST ELITISM WINS (UPDATES)

I don't have much time today, so let's get the Dutch elections out of the way. Last night an exit poll was published, showing the most woke, most globalist and most elitist party ahead of Geert Wilders' right wing Freedom Party. Let me start by saying that Wilders had his chance at governing, but piled mistake on mistake, not least of which was going into a coalition government with the deep state - no kidding. At the end of the day, many of these right wing 'Save The West' kind of parties are mostly liberals of some kind (like the AfD in Germany).

When you look at the list of Dutch political parties, these are all products of the Enlightenment: from hyper woke D66 to Conservative In Name Only VVD and from post Vatican 2 Roman Catholics CDA to Calvinist (Protestant Nominalist) SGP.

By the way, the acronym of the winning D66 party stands for Democracy 1966 - a year engraved in many European's memories as the start of the sexual revolution. True to type, its present leader is proudly gay married.

So basically these political parties are all different shades of the same color. No wonder the Dutch are stuck in a conceptual framework they can't get out of. That is not so much a matter of intelligence, as it is of imagination.

Fittingly, in Enlightenment ideology the mind, the brain is literally thought to be in a box. But let's put that striking analogy aside for the moment for something even more fundamental.

You can't solve what is basically a spiritual problem, with politics. Politics can't put together a broken moral compass. The case shows that the most basic philosophical question is, is Creation, the Universe a benevolent or a hostile place?

The Dutch, since their short existence, have always answered the question negatively. As a consequence they have been at the forefront of every human progressive ideology since the Great Schism of 1054 and probably even earlier than that.

You can't hope to fix that problem with an election. Or with democracy of any sort. The crux lies in the basic world view of a people living in a hostile environment, in the midst of a river delta, at the shores of a morass, on the edge of civilization. Even the Romans turned back half way!

Whatever coalition may emerge, it will be more thread bare, bankrupt liberalism, more or less woke, more or less globalist and more or less elitist.

These are my two cents and a black pill for the day.

Update: Hopium. Note that none of these parties can govern by themselves. They all have to come to a coalition of some sort. Obviously with many veering to the left, they have a much easier time. Also they are ganging up against the right. The biggest party though gets first try.
