A key highlight was the brokering of the "Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords," a peace agreement between Thailand and Cambodia aimed at ending long-standing border tensions. The deal includes the establishment of border observer teams and the release of 18 Cambodian soldiers detained by Thailand since July.

Trump signed reciprocal trade agreements with Malaysia and Cambodia, and framework agreements with Thailand and Vietnam to address tariff and non-tariff barriers. Under these deals, Malaysia agreed to eliminate or reduce tariffs on nearly all US exports and provide preferential market access for American goods, including motor vehicles and agricultural products.

The US and Malaysia also elevated their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Major commercial deals were announced, including potential annual US LNG sales to Malaysia worth up to $3.4 billion, a purchase of 30 Boeing aircraft with an option for 30 more, and semiconductor and aerospace deals valued at $150 billion.

Trump also met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, the first high-level US-Cambodia meeting since Hun Manet took office, and announced the lifting of the US arms embargo on Cambodia and the resumption of joint military exercises. Cooperation on combating transnational crime, including online scam centers, was expanded.
Throughout the summit, Trump emphasized America’s '100 per cent' commitment to Southeast Asia and a vision for a 'free and open Indo-Pacific' calling it a golden age for US engagement.
