Tucker Carlson had a long and honest talk with John Mearsheimer, Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, where he has taught since 1982. He graduated from West Point in 1970 and then served five years as an officer in the US Air Force. Mearsheimer developed the theory of 'offensive realism', which describes the interaction between great powers as being primarily driven by the rational desire to achieve regional hegemony in an anarchic international system. He talked to Tucker primarily about the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

But we can't let this interesting interview pass without pointing out that a Palestinian state was achieved after decades of negotiations at the Camp David Summit in 2000, but was turned down by PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat. Brave AI reports as follows (link):

It is my personal conviction that Muslim Palestinians (yes, there are Christians too!) have been in the unreconcilable modus for so long, they would not even know what else to do.

A further point that requires clarification is the eschatological belief of some American Evangelicals regarding the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, the arrival of the Jewish Messiah and the Second Coming of Christ. 

It is completely made up and has no bearings at all on what Christians actually believe. We have no way of ascertaining how widespread and in how far this belief influences "the lobby".
