THE POST WORLD WAR II ORDER IS PASSING INTO HISTORY (4, 5)

On June 19 we posted an interview of Winston Marshall with Jonathan Pageau of the Symbolic World podcast (link) about a development he foresees by which the post World War II narrative is collapsing. It seemed a rather marginal issue at the time, but since the interview, Pageau is on his fifth (!) indepth talk on the issue. What has Pageau and his interlocutors worried the most is what we call 'Hegel's rat wheel', the Western European adversarial culture, in which opinions are veering from one extreme to its opposite. German Idealist philosopher, Georg Hegel abbreviated it in the formula: thesis > anti thesis > synthesis. Pageau sees a process by which 'the German with the small mustache' and his ideology made infamous in the 1930s and 1940s, is growing from a devil into a hero.

Just to illustrate the taboo, this platform's terms -- Blogger (Google) -- is forcing us to avoid even mentioning his name. Hence the contrived description. 

Where the historical mechanism of Hegel's rat wheel is coming from is a mystery, since it only seems to exist in the Western enculturated world, causing an endless stream of near civil wars. 

We have our own theory about the issue. We reduced it to the root of (Neo) Platonic dualism that has gripped Western thought since the Great Schism of 1054. That, coupled with the world view called Nominalism that has developed since the Scholastic period. 

Once you realize that, it becomes obvious how deep this goes. It is impossible to change such a deep rooted culture overnight. There is however a long term way out, which is the subject of a book we are currently in the process of publishing.
