NATO SUMMIT, THE HAGUE 2025: A PAPER PUSSY CAT?
The NATO summit held in The Hague, Netherlands has resulted in several key decisions that will surprise no one. NATO members will invest five percent of their GDP annually on core military spending by 2035. They reaffirmed NATO's commitment to collective defense under Article 5 (an attack on one ally, is an attack on all). They expressed long-term commitment to the narrative that Russia poses a threat. They pledged to hold more summits and highlighted the importance of emerging technologies, hybrid threat preparedness, and increasing defense production capacity. Nothing so far has deterred them from pursuing NATO membership for Ukraine.
