(LIVE BLOG) SHOWDOWN AT THE TEXAS BORDER: WITH MIKE ADAMS AND MICHAEL YON

A constitutional crisis is developing in the US. In the midst of political wrangling on efforts to reach a bipartisan deal  on migration in order to fix the catastrophic situation at the southern border that developed over the Biden years (MTG has details), a stand off is ongoing between the Biden administration and the State of Texas. With the open borders, the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot invoked the invasion clause to protect the border along the Rio Grande river with concertina wire and buoys in order to repel illegal crossings. The Supreme Court preliminarily voted 5 to 4 in favor of the Government. The Decision stated that the Government was free to act, but said nothing that would compel Texas to remove the barriers. The State Of Texas is not giving in. Some 26 Governors are siding with their beleaguered colleague in Texas. No law enforcement officer is required to enforce an unconstitutional order.

HOUSE VOTES TO IMPEACH MAYORKAS


Jan. 30, 2024 RSBN: Homeland Security Committee Markup of Mayorkas Impeachment Articles.

Last night the Homeland Security Committee voted to impeach Secretary Mayorkas, but Democrats said this is a border policy disagreement. MTG has more. Today it is reported that the Senate immediately passed the impeachment file on to a sub committee. 

 

Update:  Is there anything they can do? On February 7, 2024, the House of Representatives defeated impeachment charges against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, after four Republicans refused their support. Mayorkas would have become the first sitting cabinet member to be impeached in American history (video).

In the meantime the Take Our Border Back Convoy (website) has arrived at Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana. Next stops: Houston TX, Dripping Springs and ending just north of Eagle Pass. There are actually three convoys: the Take Our Border Back which originated at Virginia Beach. A second is stemming from Arizona and a third from California. Veteran Dr. Pete Chambers has been organizing a truckers convoy to Texas Eagle Pass starting from Virginia Beach on Jan. 29. The convoy will head towards Florida on Highway 10 to Louisiana, Baton Rouge, Houston TX, Dripping Springs and ending just north of Eagle Pass.

That being said, there are warnings that the whole thing could be a trap in the style of Jan. 6. It is something that must be taken into consideration. As does the possibility of plants and agents provocateurs. Fool me once, fool me twice....


Oh yeah, and beware of crying wolf to bradleys heading towards Texas!
