GREECE LEADING EU MISSION PROTECTING RED SEA COMMERCIAL SHIPPING (UPDATE)

It would appear that the EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep "Jungle" Borrell has greenlighted a Greek proposal to lead the EU's Red Sea mission 'Aspides' to defend commercial ships against Iran-backed Houthi missile attacks. The operation would be based at the Larissa military HQ in central Greece which also hosts the Greek Air Force and the Greek NATO headquarters. The final decision will be taken on Feb. 19 when all EU Foreign Ministers will sign off on the mission. Unofficially preparations are already under way. Seven EU countries are ready to provide ships or planes. Belgium has already committed to send a frigate. Germany is expected to do the same (more on Military.com).

Apart from the Mitsotakis Government vying with Dutch PM Rutte for the title of EU Globalist Best Boy of the Year, contrary to a number of other blogs critical of the US's recent bellicose operations around the world, we are not against this mission. It is the core purpose of the military to protect national interests. After all, the US Navy's first operation was a similar mission against the Barbary pirates (link).

While US interests in the area may be questionable, the interests of Europe are certainly not. The Red Sea lanes and the Suez Canal are of vital importance to Europe. The bulk of the cargo passing the Bab Al-Mandeb are (Greek) tankers, carrying fuel for Europe (link). Due to recent unintelligent, globalist policies, the price of fuel has been under too much pressure as it is. Houthi attacks on tankers are the last thing Europe needs right now.

As the farmers have made clear, it is the people who ultimately pay the price for the insane policies of our psychopathic overlords!

Breitbart: "Still Thinking About it: European Mission to Tackle Red Sea Attacks Three Weeks Away"
Last week, U.S. and British forces bombed multiple targets in eight locations used by the Iranian-backed Houthis. It was the second time the two allies have conducted coordinated retaliatory strikes on the rebels´ missile-launching capabilities (more).

Update:
As of 4pmET the US started bombing targets of Iranian Revolutionary Guard proxy groups in Syria, using stealth bombers from the continental US, in retaliation for a drone attack on a US base on the Jordan-Syria-Iraq border that killed three.

If this becomes a wider war the Greek led mission in the Red Sea will be greatly affected.

Given the lack of common sense in the Biden regime, not just advertising the bombing runs well in advance while also leaving US troops in the area as sitting ducks, one wonders how well advised this operation actually is.
