ISRAEL AT WAR: THE NARROW TIME FRAME TO NEUTRALIZE IRAN
A new day, a new war. The US has delivered strikes on two of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities in eastern Syria, in response to a series of drone and rocket attacks on US military in Iraq and Syria that began on 17 Oct 2023. Two US fighter jets struck weapons and ammunition facilities in Syria. US spokesmen have blamed Iran and Iran-backed paramilitary for the more than nineteen drone and rocket attacks on military bases in Iraq and Syria over the past weeks, since the attack by Hamas (Muslim Brotherhood) on Israel on Oct. 7 in which more than 1,400 Israelis have been killed and more than 4,500 injured.

Per Merkouris in the video, Biden and Blinken have pressured Israel to delay the ground operation in Gaza to give them more time for the military build up in the region. In addition to two strike groups already in place, the US is possibly deploying two more carrier groups into the region. (Update from Alex Christoforou).
On Oct. 1 JNS reported that although "it is assessed that Iran is not pursuing a nuclear weapons program at
this time, it has the capacity to produce enough fissile material for a nuclear device in less than two weeks,” according to a report of the US Department of Defense’s 2023 Strategy for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction. The report outlines Washington’s strategic approach to countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction globally" (link).
The wisdom of entrusting Iran not to produce a nuclear bomb to the recommendations of one of the many intel agencies that failed to notice the months (if not years) of planning before the Hamas sneak attack, frankly we don't know what to say anymore. The question if PM Netanyahu is prepared to go that far, is highly unlikely.
In a new video Merkouris is suggesting that the current US military buildup is not related to Israel and Gaza, but indeed linked to Iran being on the verge of producing a nuclear bomb. Biden is merely using the Gaza crisis as cover, Merkouris suggests. Or, it is a mere coincidence that the two events are coinciding, Whatever it is, it makes perfect sense.
Oct. 27, 2023 The Duran: US targets Iran by launching airstrikes on Syria.
This past summer, Iran has applied for membership of the BRICS group and maybe admitted in January. Iran also became a confirmed member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on July 4, an alliance with China and Russia.
The SCO membership makes the US-led sanctions against Iran less effective. Although the SCO is a Eurasian economic organization established by China and Russia in 2001, it also has mutual security and defense protocols.
Considering the Russia-China-Iran alliance, it also makes sense for Ukraine to keep the Russians occupied at the western border. The planners in the Pentagon may also have some event planned to keep the Chinese busy. We may see some action or other later on the coming week.
The optimal moment to neutralize the power of the mullahs is actually over. But if ever, it is now before Iran has a nuclear bomb and has become fully integrated into SCO and BRICS alliances.
All these circumstances make a war of the US on Iran less likely to remain a regional affair. This hot headed reaction at this moment has all the potential of proliferating to the point of a world war, involving not just Israel, Syria and Iran but also Russia, China, a number of NATO countries as well as Eurasian forces.

Jack Posobiec has very sharp moral clarity on the present situation. Except we would like to draw attention to the phenomenon we see in all highly educated, Western postmodernists, namely the inability to see the relationship between disparate events, things or situations. It can easily become our downfall.
Col. Douglas McGregor has a very pessimistic view of the situation (video). We would not go as far as that at this stage, but one thing is overwhelmingly clear. Once a war starts and the principalities of chaos and fate take over, it is anyone's guess where it will end.
