INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHORS OF "THE BYZANTINE TALES" GRAPHIC NOVELS
Independent journalist of Pontic Greek origin Uzay Bulut @UzayBulut based in Athens had a fascinating interview with the authors of "The Byzantine Tales" @byzantinetales, a series of graphic novels set in the Eastern Roman Empire, otherwise known as Byzantium (website). Her introduction, published on X reads: "In recent years, there has been a growing public interest in Roman identity and history. However, many people consider only Rome when the subject of the Roman Empire is discussed. A publishing house in Greece, the Byzantine Tales, is seeking to remind the world that the Greek-speaking Byzantine Empire, the Eastern half of the Roman Empire, survived for over a thousand years after the Western half had crumbled into various feudal kingdoms."
