President Trump's candidate for Vice President, J.D. Vance (website) is the guest of the king of podcasts, Joe Rogan. Born James Donald Bowman (born 1984), Vance is a politician, author, and Marine veteran who has served since 2023 as the US senator for Ohio. After high school, Vance joined the US Marine Corps, where he served as a military journalist from 2003 to 2007. He practiced briefly as a corporate lawyer before embarking on a career in the tech industry as a venture capitalist. His memoir, "Hillbilly Elegy" (BookFinder), was published in 2016, and was adapted into a film in 2020 (IMDb).
