So what is the deal in Israel and Lebanon? It would seem that almost the entire leadership of Hezbollah has been eliminated at this point. Lookner on Agenda Free TV has been reporting that "the fighting continues to escalate between Israel and Hezbollah, with Israel launching more airstrikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon after killing Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah has fired more rockets at Israel and some reports suggest Israel could soon launch a ground invasion." Updates: the ground operation started Sep. 30 evening. In the evening of Oct. 1 Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles over Israel, largely ineffective like the strike earlier this year.

IRAN LAUNCHES 180 BALLISTIC MISSLES INTO ISRAEL



Except for eight deaths as a result of a shooting attack in Tel Aviv (including a Greek citizen) no casuaties were reported from the missile barrage. But they did manage to kill a Palestinian man in the West Bank who was hit by shrapnel.

Israeli troops have reportedly entered Hezbollah tunnels in southern Lebanon as part of small-scale incursions. These forays are aimed at gathering intelligence and disabling Hezbollah’s underground network ahead of a possible wider ground offensive. The IDF has been intensifying airstrikes on Hezbollah targets, killing key figures, as tensions escalate along the Israel-Lebanon border. According to Western diplomats, Tehran has received a clear message that the United States will face challenges in restraining Israel amid escalating tensions in the region (source).
