DELPHI ECONOMIC FORUM: PM MITSOTAKIS ANTICIPATES US-IRAN DEAL
Coming out of seclusion today for a story on Greece that can't wait. At the Delphi Economic Forum, Breitbart's journalist, Matthew Boyle sat down once again with Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He did so as well last year (link). A lot has changed since then. This time the world is again in crisis, with the blockade of Iran now in full force (link). I don't want to contribute to a sense of panic that some political leaders and their friendly media seek to exploit at the expense of citizens. So let's not exaggerate the sense of urgency. Boyle: "[Mitstakis is] hoping for a big deal between the USA and Iran to end hostilities and restore economic stability in the world".

The Greek Prime Minister also told me he looks forward to hosting President Trump in Greece soon, and said Trump will have a fantastic time here. He noted that Greeks are proud to be known for their generous hospitality.

Boyle: "In addition, Mitsotakis told me the Iran war should serve as a “wake-up call” to Europe on energy. He argued the continent needs to develop its own energy so it is not dependent on other parts of the world for key things like natural gas."
STEVE BANNON: The Communist Party is the exact opposite. The Chinese Communist Party, the One Belt One Road Initiative is really just taking the model of the British East India company of predatory capitalism and just putting it in reverse. --- They're looking for elite… pic.twitter.com/xGMR4mzwVq

Greek Maritime News outlet Navtemporiki has a feature piece on one of the main subjects under discussion at the Delphi Forum, the IMEC, the India-Middle East-Corridor via Greece into Europe, also called the 'cotton road', a rival to China's Belt and Road Initiative, of which the Athens port of Piraeus is a part.
Military podcaster Angelos Chorianopoulos has a critical analysis of PM Mitsotakis's speech at Delphi referencing Turkey, China and various defense issues (video). We will post the speech in an update as soon as it drops on YT.

So let me get that straight. The UK and France between them are fuelling an arms race between Greece and Turkey. The tiger may lose its stripes, but not its ways.
