WEEKEND ROUND UP: ORTHODOXY, CENSORING AND PROPAGANDA

We are truly sorry having to come to you today with bad news. We must however look reality in the eyes. It is the only way to fight evil and lies. This post is a random collection of X posts on censoring and propaganda. Not even the Stoics are safe anymore. As far as the rest it concerned, it so happens the epicenter is -- perhaps unsurprisingly -- Ukraine, its regime and the propaganda campaign in the West against Russia and its Church, or simply against people who are rejecting the liberal paradigm.

In the interview of Tucker Carlson with Vadym Novynskyi the latter specifically mentions the role of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople. Drawing your attention to a post earlier this week that made it clear he is part of the plans of the newly elected Pope, Leo XVI to press ahead with this heretic project (link). 

The first post on the next list warrants your specific attention. I warned that the surge in Orthodox converts in general, would attract the attention of the Western media. Until today the overall tone was quite neutral.

But here we have the first inkling that the content is getting more toxic. Of course the framing is against men who are signing out of the liberal paradigm and -- of course -- against Russia, focusing on ROCOR specifically. This BBC piece is a caricature, something in which they excel. 


And finally two posts in a somewhat different vain, warnings against tech feudalism. In this respect it might be interesting to watch a video of a recent talk that Greek economist Yanis Varoufakis had on tech feudalism, explaining the issue with a journalist at the Qatar Economic Forum.
