PRIVATION THEORY OF EVIL ON THE CULTURAL VANDALISM OF THE 'ODYSSEY'

You got to admire commentators who are still trying to reason with the puritans. In his latest podcast, our musicologist Farya Faraji makes an heroic effort to dissect Christopher Nolan's new act of cultural terrorism. The latest 'countdown' trailer has since come out and it is obvious this project is now beyond salvation. In fact, it made it far worse. You'd almost think it was a conscious effort on the part of Hollywood to destroy one of the major, and probably the oldest pillars of civilization! Yah think? Like the orcs that cut up the lining of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington DC, these haters are motivated by one thing and one thing only.

Ayn Rand expressed it best decades ago, when the cultural terror project was still in its infant years: it is hating the Good for being the Good.

She was no proponent of what she invariably referred to as 'mysticism', but the religion of her native country -- Russia -- has ample demonology on the issue of evil for evil's sake, which she shared, albeit in a secular rendition.

Evil is a depravation of the Good, not a thing in itself. It is parasitic in function. It has no power but that which we let it extort from us.

Rand remarked that the spread of evil is the symptom of a vacuum. Whenever evil wins, it is by default: by our own moral failure and nihilism. Evil can only destroy, corrupt, or diminish the Good.

According to this theory, the destruction of Western societies will continue unabated until a sizable moral minority has reached enough critical mass to reverse the process of demoralization.
