WEEKEND EDITION: OF MYTHICS, GIANTS AND 'MIND CHILDREN'

There have been a few important developments in the last day or so that are by itself enough to fill the entire weekend, and probably a few news cycles after that. Jonathan Pageau, fresh off the Symbolic World Conference 2026 posted a lecture he gave for Hillsdale Collage, which is probably his best -- or at least his most lucent -- to date. For brevity I am compressing all these important items in a single post.

Jonathan Pageau, May 29, 2026 Mythological Thinking: The Crossroads of Psychology and Theology (Hillsdale talk).

His post was almost immediately outshined by Father Stephen de Young making his maiden appearance on Tucker Carlson's show. Father's Stephen's Biblical exegeses may not be new to us on the blog, but for those unfamiliar with the topic of the Nephelim, it was a shocker. Jay Dyer's take on the giant Watchers (link).

May 29, 2026 Tucker Carlson: The Secret History of Biblical Giants, Demons, and the Advanced Civilizations Before the Great Flood.

The Pope has finally come out with a paper on Artificial Intelligence (which should more correctly be be called, machine learning). Factually he is entirely right, of course.

Pastorally he might have struck a tone, more in tune with his office. Instead he is speaking like a judgmental, pedantic and legalistic Jesuit. But then, that's Roman Catholicism for you!

As Joe Allen's reaction makes clear, there are seriously dumbed down people in this world who have ditched God as well as philosophy, and now believe in 'mind children'. God have mercy!

Allen outlines how this can become a very serious bone of contention for humanity in the future. Old heresies are really coming back to haunt us. This is has roots, firmly planted in Gnosticism.

People who would readily abort real babies, are getting suddenly emotionally attached to machine infants. Try this on for a ripe example. It's really scary how easily we can lose our minds as human beings!

Grok AI by the way is with the Pope (link).

But wait, there's a bonus update! We're compressing even more food for thought into this weekend edition. Jonathan Pageau's brother Matthieu, who out-symbolizes Jonathan in many respects, has an almost three and a half hour interview from his car about his latest project on AI as "the machinery of satanic deception".

Anthony Westgate: April 23, 2026 AI and the Satanic Parody of the Human Soul with Matthieu Pageau.
