ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: PRESIDENT TRUMP REBRANDS AI
Yesterday President Trump cut down efforts to create a cutting edge tech cartel (link). I won't reiterate the details; all is explained in the post in the link. It is no exaggeration that AI will impact the world on a scale comparable to the Industrial Revolution and surpass the invention of the personal computer and of the Internet. It also would have provided an opportunity to steer away from politicization and the brainless loss of realism through the dialectic approach to public discourse. But the cabal that initiated the effort to create a cartel has seen to it that is already no longer possible. So here we are again. With one party going full steam ahead and the other applying the brakes to further their own interests.

Under the pressure of the fear and crisis mongers, it is easy to join the other side, and throw all caution to the wind. But we intend to stay on the case, based on realism. To reiterate in a few sentences where that has brought us until now:
- AI can’t become conscious since it is not a living entity, but a glorified marble trap.
- AI is not a life form. It has no soul.
- AI is an abstraction. It does not have a physical body, which is a precondition for actual, embodied intelligence.
- The word "intelligence" is an anthropomorphism. Computation is not human intelligence. The makers have chosen to make AI communicate in a very personal way and in an authoritative tone. Tech oligarchs are responsible for the conscious choice to anthropomorphize AI with all the psychosis that entails (calls for "human rights," eroticism, etc.).
- AI feeds off our attention. It is parasitic; it’s not a thing in itself.
- AI only takes into consideration information it has access to on the Internet. But there is still, and there always will be much ancient knowledge and information that has not been digitized.

President Trump's relaunch of an incorrect definition -- changing Artificial Intelligence into Superintelligence -- makes a wrong choice, worse. We will resist using that term for as long as possible from the perspective of communication.
Glenn Beck approached President Trump's marketing gambit from another direction. The intent is good and understandable. But the psychosis part seems to have escaped him in his drive for the economic benefits of AI. Beck calls to mind that AI, AGI and ASI function as benchmarks, warning signs now lost by the rebranding.
Separate but related is Peter Thiel's recent lecture on the Anti Christ. We've talked about Thiel before (link). I'm not buying his recently found Christianity for a moment. He has since come out as orthodox (small o). The man is an absolute charlatan.
In a recent interview he displayed a case of moral deception, not even seen from any of many moral relativists in recent years, and that's saying something! He actually reasoned that being evil is not so bad because that means you're effective. What..?!
The night before his award, Peter Thiel is asked: “So why do we always moralize new technologies [like AI]?”The answer is one of the scariest quotes I’ve ever heard.Thiel says it’s better to be “evil” than “bad… If you’re evil, maybe you’re kind of good, because least you’re… https://t.co/tmYCwE2x1z pic.twitter.com/OreSx4qldB— Jim Stewartson, Decelerationist 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇺🇸 (@jimstewartson) September 26, 2026
Now we've expressed in this pages before that this rationale is indeed the idea driving AI marketing: if it dangerous, it must be effective, is the idea. Thanks for confirming our suspicion, Thiel!
Dr David Patrick Harry was disinvited from Thiel's lecture. In this live stream Harry was speculating about the reason why. But it is clear that as an actual Orthodox Christian he would have been able to see right through Thiel's kabuki theater in no time.
Live stream: I Was BANNED From Peter Thiel’s Antichrist Lecture.
At Peter Thiel's first @realpamphleteer-hosted Antichrist lecture, Peter Robinson of the Hoover Institution asks Thiel a big question: does he believe that Scripture is inspired?Yes, Thiel says, though he says it should sometimes be taken seriously, not completely literally.… https://t.co/jC3RsRe2JF— Nathan Worcester (@nnworcester) September 29, 2026
We can close this post on a positive note. A tweet by a "psych professor" complaining that "AI is already ruining higher education" (link). Indeed. AI is going to disrupt the entire status quo. But I'm asking, is that a bad thing, or a golden opportunity to escape the current trajectory that is leading us right into the abyss, particularly in the case of higher education?
