THE TRUMP REVOLUTION: A PARADIGM SHIFT

While we are closely watching President Trump's nominations for his new administration (link) we must simultaneously get up to speed with the revolutionary change his landslide election is causing over the world. And it's substantial. As we learn that the administrative state in the US that is at the receiving end of the Trump revolution, is preparing to burrow in like they did last time, political leaders abroad are scrambling to get at the right side of the American President. Some of them were quick  off the mark to throw him under the bus after the stolen election of 2020 that brought the destructive Biden regime to power. We will get to all that.

First we have to talk about these appointments, approximately a thousand of which have to be confirmed by the Senate. There is already talk that the Senate might slow walk the main nominees as they have done in Trump 1.0. But this act of sabotage is not going to work this time. Trump can adjourn both Houses of Congress under Article II, section 3, and then use recess appointments.

The conclusion emerging from the Trump picks so far is that he has a systemic and integrated way of looking at personnel. The individual appointment is not a thing on its own. It is a team. He picks a generalist as the main leader, sitting like a spider in a web of a team of specialists.

Elon Musk has been emerging as Trump's closest associate, and perhaps his chief advisor. He has Trump's confidence when it comes to diplomacy. Now we learn that Musk was present during calls with Putin and Zelensky. And now we hear that Musk has been having talks with Iran's Ambassador to the UN about future US-Iranian relations.

Update: A spokesman of Iran has denied contacts between their Ambassador and the Trump campaign. Russia has also denied having been in touch. As we have seen (link) the US mainstream media have become a hotbed of fake news, mal-information and attempts to create news instead of reporting it.

While geo policies are being adjusted to bring them in accordance with the changing wind in Washington, one thing for now seems to survive all the head wind, and that is Project Ukraine. For now.

The wind is changing fast. That these ideas have been percolating for a long time, transpired from a debate held in Athens yesterday between the Greek PM and French philosopher and writer Pascal Bruckner (Wiki).

Some may remember Bruckner's defense of Ayaan Hirsi Ali against the criticisms from postmodern multiculturalists like Ian Buruma and Timothy Garton Ash. Those were the days when Liberalism was still the summit of good ideas and postmodernism was its Nemesis. We ourselves were heavily involved in the debates on the side of Liberalism.

Bruckner has not moved an inch since then. He is still a staunch defender of the Liberal cause and, like his interlocutor in this debate, Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has now identified National Populism as the main enemy of Enlightenment ideas.

He's not wrong. But it is Liberalism that in its fullness has proved to be a vehicle of tyranny against the will of the people. The idea of maximizing liberty for as many people as possible has a saturation point, at which moment if turns into its antithesis. That is because at its core, it is not realism but utopianism, no less than communism or fascism.

Nov. 14, 2024 Ο Πρωθυπουργός: Συζήτηση του Πρωθυπουργού Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη με τον συγγραφέα Pascal Bruckner. (Debate of the PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis with author Pascal Bruckner).

In the debate Mitsotakis and Bruckner are trying to distance themselves from "the tyranny of the minorities", but they come rather late and a euro short to this particular battle. This toothpaste doesn't go back into the tube.

Neither does the gay marriage law his Government pushed through the Vouli amidst heavy protests throughout his Orthodox nation.

It is also too late to save the sector of higher education, Mitsotakis has opened up for all kinds of horrible institutions from abroad, often the first conduits of the woke mind virus, directly injected into the veins of our students.

But in Mitsotakis' case it proves how fast the Trump revolution is changing the world. The US Presidential election is not ten days old and here we have one of the foremost defenders of globalism, publicly denouncing one of its main pillars, wokeness.

Interestingly Bruckner explains that wokeness is really one of ugly kids of the French Revolution. I dare say, we should have known France was the root of that ugly, narcissistic little brat.

Americans are being blamed, but the truth is these egregious ideas are often European in origin in the first place, returning to our shores running on American Machiavellian pragmatism.

A few words on the debate itself. Bruckner may have defended Ayaan Hirsi Ali back in the day and some people may define him as a philosopher, but the man believes calling opponents bad names is a primary argument against his politics! What an oaf!

And of course Bruckner never takes into consideration what the Democrat machine has been doing to Donald Trump over the last 10 years. They spied on him, tried to destroy his presidency, they tried to put him a prison for the rest of his life, and when all else failed, the tried to kill him - twice!

The moderator on behalf of the sponsoring media outlet by the way, is with the censorship program of the imperial 'blob'. The use of the term 'democratic backsliding' is a dead give away!

To be continued on another day and place.
