THE WEST'S LONG GAME TO RUSSIA: THE SOUTHERN KAUKASUS
The time that the collective West could be relied upon to spread democracy and freedom around the world, is long gone. As a matter of fact, the entire meddling in sovereign nations to ostensibly further the cause of liberty, has come home to bite the West in the behind. We have touched upon the issue many times in different posts on this blog in recent weeks. Let's repeat the gist once more. As Mike Benz, Executive Director of the free speech watchdog, Foundation for Freedom Online (website), explained in our primer (link), the US Foreign Policy and Security apparatus (hereafter referred to as 'the blob') was directed post World War 2 at the expansionist power of the Soviet Union. But in 2016 it turned on its heels and redirected itself against domestic political opponents. That has been extended to involvement in the EU and has set its sight on breaking up Russia, to divide the spoils to their corporate associates. After the Color Revolution was successful in Ukraine, the roving eyes of the blob were set on Armenia and wanted seconds in Georgia where a coup failed previously, half way into its execution in 2003-4.

Images of Belgian PM Verhofstadt addressing Maidan have been sanitized off the Internet, but remarkably a video still exists on YouTube (link). Next to Verhofstadt is Dutch MEP Hans van Baalen, now deceased, who had been accused of neo enayzeeayes sympathies in his youth (GeenStijl), which he always denied - just saying.
To the victor the spoils. But countries have other assets besides minerals. The New York Times disclosed last week that the CIA built "12 Secret Spy Bases" in Ukraine, waging a shadow war against Russia for the past decade (at the 3:17 mark).

NATO’s plan was to make Russia another Africa: smaller statelets, easily divided, easily corrupted, stripped of all wealth and sovereignty, permanently underdeveloped.

Putin sees the Ukraine-NATO conflict as existential.
He’s correct.

After the Maidan Color Revolution toppled Ukraine's democratically elected government, CIA Director John Brennan visited Kiev in April 2014. Shortly after, the new Ukrainian government launched an "anti-terror operation" against its Russian speaking citizens in Eastern Ukraine.
For eight years leading up to Russia's invasion in 2022, Ukraine's government, with help from the CIA, relentlessly bombed Eastern Ukraine. Millions of innocent civilians were caught in the crossfire (source). Somehow these attacks on civilians never made it to the international courts.

The Georgian PM is standing firm against all odds, not allowing this supposed majority of demonstrators, who are actually a small minority producing a lot of decibels, to change the course of the country. This must be the first "democratic protests" against transparency laws ever! The EU and the US are threatening sanctions. It's a joke!

The betrayal of Armenia
Which brings us to the related topic of Armenia. The sad story of that nation we talked about earlier in a longread, a primer on Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh (link). The suffering of some peoples never ends.
After everything they've been through they got a government that stabbed them in the back to make the country palatable for integration into the Western construct. That should tell you all you need to know.
