CHRISTMAS THEME: ORTHODOXY AND MASCULINITY

If Christmases had a theme, the year 2023's title would be "Christian Orthodoxy and Masculinity". The last few days no less than four important vlogs have been posted with this theme in mind. As liberal wokeism reduced men to an afterthought of Creation, men were cast as the evil progenitors of the 'patriarchy'. True to woke collectivism, men as a sex and as a whole are being held to atone for Adam's other sin, the first man to ever have produced toxic testosterone. But now, there's hope that at least a number of men can break free of all that. Male virtues like responsibility, self-sacrifice, courage, using talents for the good, engagement with family and community,  mercy and humility, reliability, physical health and strength, discipline and aligning will power with God's will are brought back by David Patrick Harry who explains his entire list of manly virtues as follows.

Dec. 22, 2023 Church of the Eternal Logos: TOP 10 Masculine Christian Characteristics.

Husband, father, entrepreneur and masculinity vlogger, Paul Robson gives us three reasons why, as a man, you want to make sure that you are fully engaged in celebrating this time with your family. Robson answers questions like, what does celebrating Christmas do? Christmas, the longest night and the shortest day. Christmas as a time of integration. Robson recommends watching "The Universal History of Christmas" by Jonathan Pageau and Richard Rohlin (video). The video is also available on our Live Blog on the Winter Feasts of Light 2023-2024 (link).

Dec. 22, 2023 Maniphesto: Three reasons for MEN to Celebrate this Christmas.

The third vlog is a debate on the question why men love the Orthodox Church, courtesy again David Patrick Harry. After his introduction, the debate starts from the 1:25:25 mark.

Dec. 21, 2023 Church of the Eternal Logos: Open Debate Panel: Why Do Men Love the Eastern Orthodox Church?

Unlike the Western Churches, Orthodox Churches by and large have remained outside the cultural territories that suffered from most of the moral relativism, scientific rationalism and the suicidal cultural self-doubt that has tormented Roman Catholicism and the Protestant denominations that bought into 'progressivism' wholesale.

The feminization of Western culture has also passed by Orthodoxy. The entire feminist movement always has been a Western phenomenon, as are all other iterations of cultural Marxism. Sure, many Orthodox nations were part of the Soviet sphere of influence. But Marxism-Leninism stopped at liberating the workers from capitalist oppression; after the collapse of Communism most countries reverted back to Orthodoxy with a vengeance.

Thanks to its membership of the EU, something is brewing in the Greek polity, in which Church and State are not as strictly separated as they are in the West for historical reasons, but we will come back about that in a separate posting. Suffice it to say for now that the difference between Eastern and Western Rome is even older and deeper than the event of Christianity.

There is a fourth video in the theme, Orthodoxy and Masculinity. It is a talk Jay Dyer had with Cameron McGregor, mostly dealing with practical subjects like crypto and the upcoming economic collapse.
