The political theory is beyond comprehension of those who labor under the liberal moral imperative that personal liberty is man's highest attainable goal. In the book, Hazony explains the reason why this logic is not just a fallacy, but a Utopian fallacy at that. And he is right. The same mindset produces the relativist position that mankind is a collective herd whose morals are dictated by their societies. This also explains why the liberal West will never understand why Muslims have a totally different ethics program.
