THE DEVELOPING CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS 2.0 (UPDATE)

The geopolitical situation is getting very interesting. President Putin of Russia and CCP Chairman. Xi are not just going full steam ahead with the concept of the new, bi-polar world. There is also a situation developing involving the old Monroe doctrine (Wiki) dating back to 1823 that posits that any intervention in the political affairs of the American hemisphere by foreign powers is a potentially a hostile act against the United States. The doctrine could be seen as an early onset of the Thucydides Trap (wiki) coming only now to full fruition. The doctrine was central to American foreign policy for much of the 19th and early 20th centuries.

But what if the opposite happens and American foreign policy involves itself in the near abroad of rival powers, like Russia and China? What if the US is projecting policies contrary to Russian interests in Ukraine and the Chinese sovereign claim over Taiwan?

The Monroe doctrine comes into play in the Bahamas, where the CPR's Embassy doubles as a listening post to spy on American maritime activities and the recent plans for a CPR spy base on Cuba.

A situation is developing there that may well be called, Cuban Missile Crisis 2.0 (link), with that difference that both President Kennedy and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev lived at the time in 1962 when the grown ups were still in charge. That can't be said of the cohort currently running Washington DC.

The first Cuban Missile Crisis was averted by the US secretly agreeing to dismantle their missiles in Turkey in return for the removal of the Soviet missiles from Cuba.

We may once again be in for a game of chicken between two super powers with 20th and 21st century weapons. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, just back from kowtowing to Beijing has already handed the CCP the island nation of Taiwan on a silver platter.

School mistress Anthony Blinken to Chairman Xi about the spy balloon that traversed the entire continental United States before it was shot down over the Atlantic: "Don't let it happen again" (source). 

The Biden regime has no problem with the dagger on Cuba pointing at the American heartland. The Cuban Missile Crisis 2.0 cannot even be solved by a secret deal, because unlike in 1962, the Biden regime already is a Chinese vassal state.

As a Chinese wish says, may you live in interesting times. That, is undeniably the case.
