TUCKER CARLSON INTERVIEW: ALTERNATIVE HISTORY

Tucker Carlson had another one of his momentous interviews, this time with Darryl Cooper, an honest, part-time popular historian and a prolific consumer and writer on any topic, from the Israeli Palestinian conflict and the Jones Town cult, to World Wars 1 and 2 and the interbellum, the social history of the United States, geopolitics and the relationship between the US and Europe. Cooper goes against the grain at this specific moment in time, if only because the black and white point of view is favored by both sides of the political spectrum. But that is not what Cooper is about. His rule is not to publish before he understands both sides of the argument to the point where he can intellectually defend it. The outcome is a fully nuanced and balanced picture of history that comes as close to reality as we could hope for.

Sep. 2, 2024 TCN: Darryl Cooper: The True History of the Jonestown Cult, WWII, and How Winston Churchill Ruined Europe.

There is something Cooper said that stuck with me. Much of the present situation is rooted in the post World War 2 liberal, international rules based order.

Cooper is pointing out that throughout its history the US has been the subject to social upheaval, with the constant integration of new waves of immigrants with every generation.

With liberalism radically breaking down societies to the level of the individual, and given their experiences with ethnic wars on the European continent, Americans tend to see ethnic group tendencies as the greatest obstacle toworld peace.

This is not Cooper's contention, but my suggestion is, would it be unrealistic to assume that the ongoing streams of third world migration into Europe, is a deliberate policy to prevent the development of ethnic Nationalism taking place? If so, they should prepare for major blowback.

Of course, the current crop of National Populists who want to stop mass migration and just want to make their own nations great again, are a far cry from the ethnic Nationalism of 250 years ago. But that is how the postmodern globalist thinks.

We know that it's the great international institutions as the UN and its NGOs created by the post World War 2 liberal, international rules based order that are organizing and facilitating these migration flows. Much as they deny it, these are well established facts.

Tucker is expressing his dismay at the current state of affairs in the UK and links it to World War 2. How is it possible for the victor to go down decades later, he asks?

Personally I believe the present demise of the West has little to do with the last few decades. It has been inherent in its philosophies for centuries. It just took hundreds of years of tearing on its values until it reached rock bottom in postmodernism.

Let me not overstress these points, as Cooper has lots of other historical facts to point out, that give us stuff to ponder for a very long time. Specifically the role of Great Britain and Germany and their war time leaders.

Of course every people has its own creation myth, from the ancient Greeks to the Romans and the Americans. Where Cooper goes off the deep end is where he brings theology into the subject matter.
But apart of that, watching this episode is two and a half hours well spent.

Darryl Cooper's podcast is called Marter Made on Substack. The podcast is also available on podcast platforms, like Spotify
