(ANALYSIS) A CRACK IN THE CLOSED WESTERN FRONT

We now know that the "collective West", the transatlantic click that is ruling Europe and the US, is nominally democratic, but is in actuality a type of covert military junta masquerading as a swamp (link). Attached at the hip, these people are going to the same schools and unis together, marry each others sisters and are all employed by the same public/private revolving door that has been controlling and censoring the mainstream media from its birth (link). It is therefore an important development if there are signs of discord at the very top of the click.

March 2, 2024 Alex Christoforou: Sunak meltdown. Macron WW3 tripwire. German Crimea bridge audio, cui bono? Biden, Giorgia on my mind.

It started earlier this week with various leading politicians in the collective West calling for more direct NATO involvement in the war in Ukraine. "Germans Debate the Once-Unthinkable: Do We Need Nuclear Weapons? The discussion is especially fraught in Germany, which has renounced nuclear energy and the atomic bomb" (source).

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau beclowned himself again, joining the choir on the condition that the Canadian Army would participate in the NATO war against Russia, but only in a defensive capacity!

The apotheosis consisted of French President Macron calling for ground troops to be deployed  in Ukraine. This was followed by a barrage of reports from various European capitals, Washington DC and NATO HQ, denying that they were even contemplating such a thing (source).

This escalation in war rhetoric came on the heels of an item in the New York Times that "the CIA has built twelve secret spy bases in Ukraine along the Russian border, training and equipping Ukrainian intelligence officers in underground bunkers buried in thick forest" since the color coup of 2014 (source).

Part, or the entirety of these reports may be efforts to persuade House Republicans of passing an US aid package for Ukraine worth 61 billion US dollars. They have refused to do so for now. The MAGA wing of the Republican Party is vehemently opposed to anything that unnecessarily prolongs the pointless war.

Letters addressed to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives flew out  from various seats of Government in Europe to the Imperial Capitol.

Amidst all this, a number of Western countries have been signing bilateral security agreements with Ukraine of late. The spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Affairs Office (Lavrov's department) commented as follows;

Back now to the fall-out on the Western front after Macron's call for ground troops had been unceremoniously ditched by the rest of NATO countries.

Alex Christoforou: Scholz & Macron fight. FT, Western forces in Ukraine. Elensky road trip. Biden loses to uncommitted.

The conclusion was that Macron had won on points, moving the Overton Window a notch of two in the direction of direct war with Russia.

Whatever the goal may be, it's totally irresponsible of course. But the pressure is on to get the Germans to send long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, which requires boots on the ground.

On purpose or by mistake, the German chancellor Scholz countered the attempt by Macron of making Germany a participant in the war,  by leaking that France and the UK already have troops on the ground in Ukraine operating Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles against Russian military and participating in asymmetric warfare (terrorism) against Russian civilian targets in Crimea and Belgorod.

Scholz's comments were promptly seen as "endangering British military and diplomatic personnel on the ground" by Tobias Ellwood saying Scholz had really f*d up now (source at 4:40 mark).

As France continued its warmongering rhetoric with Attal asserting that Russia poses a direct threat to France, that Macron's comments were absolutely "responsible" and that his calls for direct war may have been about technical assistance rather than fighting troops on the ground, the Chief Editor of Russia Today dropped a bombshell.

The current state of affairs is that Macron stands by his maximalist position, as presumably does everyone else. This tiff within the collective West has been really instructive and may be the start of a rift in the united front that is required for euro bonds to work (source at 1:30 mark).

Some of these people are insane, especially those in small countries like the Netherlands or the Baltic states. They may have omitted to have a look at a map recently, or pick up a book on Russian history. In any case their sense of proportion got somehow out of whack. (Reminds me of the fable of a mouse and an elephant crossing a bridge: link).

Latest update on Little Napoleon versus the Liver Wurst (at 24:00 mark)

Those saying that "we should not be afraid of our own power" are not afraid to challenge Russia from behind the safety of the American security blanket. In the insurance world they call that a moral hazard.
