"SHUT THE BORDER, OR SHUT THE GOVERNMENT"

Yesterday we reported on a Constitutional crisis developing in the US. In the midst of political wrangling on efforts to reach a bipartisan deal  on migration in order to fix the catastrophic situation at the southern border that developed over the Biden years (MTG has details), a stand off is ongoing between the Biden administration and the State of Texas. With the open borders, the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot invoked the invasion clause to protect the border along the Rio Grande river with concertina wire and buoys in order to repel illegal crossings. Biden's Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas who is facing impeachment in the House, took the matter to the Supreme Court that preliminarily voted 5 to 4 in favor of the Government.

That is to say, the Court in its decision stated that the Government was free to act, but said nothing that would compel Texas to remove the barriers. So Texas is laying more wire and moving in more resources. The court deferred on the majority of the case that is still before the 5th Circuit Court. Abbott is using this window to rally more Governors and more personnel.

There are voices on the left pressing Biden to nationalize the Texas National Guard and take over its control. There are also voices calling for Biden to arrest Governor Greg Abbott. This is who they are now. But Biden can't win this. If he uses force to compel Texas law enforcement to assist in the invasion of their state, he looks like the tyrant that he is.

But if he folds on the issue looking like a cheap suit and knowing he’s getting destroyed at the polls for supporting the invasion of illegals at the southern border, he's toast electorally. Either way, this does not end well for Biden.

The Governors of Arkansas, Iowa, Idaho, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wyoming, Florida, Virginia, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana,  Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Utah, Kentucky and Montana all announced that they stand with Texas and Governor Greg Abbott in the border dispute with the federal government. As does House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Jack Posobiec tweexed that "Trump has called for all 'willing' states to deploy National Guard to the Texas border and start deportations". Related or not, there are reports that volunteer militias from at least 27 states have begun traveling to Texas in support of the Texas National Guard.

What is this all about? Tucker Carlson explains.

Jan. 26, 2024 War Room: Brian Kennedy On Biden's Border Policies: "This Is A Way Of Putting Americans In Their Place".

Brian Kennedy nails the malicious intent behind the globalist endeavor: it is meant to put native citizens of national states in their place. You have as much right to the land as the next person from anywhere on the planet! This is the deeper root of every globalist.

Kennedy is also right on target with his verdict that this global migration scheme has destroyed the legal asylum system based on the 1951 Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol that are the key documents that form the basis of UNHCR’s work.

Just The News: FBI luminaries starkly warn Congress that U.S. being invaded at border: ‘Alarming and perilous’
“In its modern history the U.S. has never suffered an invasion of the homeland and, yet, one is unfolding now,” the FBI executives wrote in letter to congressional leadership.
"(...) some of the FBI’s most famous retired executives are issuing a stark warning to Congress that President Joe Biden’s border policies have unleashed an “invasion” of military-aged male foreigners who pose “one of the most pernicious ever” threats to American security. Ten former FBI executives – some who oversaw the bureau’s intelligence, counterterrorism, criminal and training operations – expressed their alarm in a letter dated Jan. 17 to House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Leader Chuck Schumer and the chairmen of the House and Senate committees that preside over the U.S. intelligence and Homeland Security apparatus (more on Just The News).
