WE MAKE OUR OWN FUTURE: CHOOSE WISELY! (LONGREAD)

An insightful posting on Twitter this morning reminded me, that what we take for natural evolution, is often the result of a historical occurrence or a process that was consciously directed by some very influential individual (perhaps an emperor or an inventor) or by a successful movement for change. We will look at the most recent trends that are bound to change the paradigm in the future.

July 14, 2023 Glenn Beck: How elites will use ESG, AI, & CBDCs to seize total control.

We are lulled into a certain ideological mental box without noticing the gradual change, because people living through it, often explain it as an attribute of time. "The times are changing", they say. No, they don't. People change. The culture changes, because changing world views cause our values to change. We live in a box of someone else's reality. Examples of group efforts are movements like the Romantics, the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment, the Progressive movement, etc., often in reaction to a preceding change.

For example, after the 4th Crusade of 1202 the Orthodox, Eastern Roman city of Constantinople was sacked by the Latin Crusaders. Many of its treasures, relics and ornaments can presently be found in the city of Venice. Among the immaterial transfers was the holistic Aristotelian view of reality. The Roman Church adopted this world view based on an Aristotelian theology developed by the Sicilian friar, Thomas of Aquinas. Hitherto the Roman Church was oriented on Platonic philosophy and Augustinian ethics.

The Germanics of north western Europe who knew no other approach to reality than St. Augustine's hell and brimstone version of Christianity and Plato's dualism, revolted against the Thomistic theology of Rome, and Protestantism was born out of reaction.

Change brought about by a single individual was for instance the invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg that changed communication around the world in a profound and fundamental way. By the way, inventions are not happening haphazardly. There is a hierarchy. For example, moon rockets cannot be invented before the combustion engine or the airplane.

The entire concept of living in a specific ideological system is hard to grasp for anyone living in such a mental box. People believe they live in an objectively real world. And we do, but up to a point. Father Ezra Ham ventured a heroic effort to explain the concept in one of his early seminars entitled "These things I believe", here session 1. He warned us people might get upset when confronted with the concept.

Currently we are living through the onset of a new paradigm shift on the verge of break through. Next century no one remembers that there was a moment in time in which some people took the conscious decision that ESG, AI and CBDCs were the way for the future. But the future could have looked have differently if other people would have been in charge, or the people in charge would have made a different choice. Or if the opposition had protested a little louder.

Glenn Beck has been trying to connect the dots, guessing how the future might look like. Some of it is already fact. My bank is trying to attract new customers, proudly advertising their ESG credentials as morally superior.

Elon Musk expects AI singularity by 2030 (video). But CBDCs are apparently a lot harder to implement than previously thought. Jeftovic speculated only this week that digital currencies may be some time away (video). Which is good news. But all it takes is one major financial crisis and our nest eggs have become toast!

July 10, 2023 Glenn Beck: These signs hint that traveling may soon be restricted.

Restricting tourism is typically pushed by a coalition of movements that is hell bent on regressing humanity to the Stone Age. They are on a crusade to get their Gnostic, anti human values universally accepted in order to implement their form of Utopia all over the globe. The 'ethical' goal justifies the means: and if they have to destroy entire economies in their path, then so be it.
