THE ROOTS & PSYCHOPATHOLOGY OF MARXISM (LONG READ)

In his latest podcast Jordan Peterson is sitting down with Dr. James Lindsay, a podcaster and author with a remarkable personal and academic history. Although -- as he explains -- he is not the person who made the original discovery, we credit him with reducing Marxism to its ultimate source, the early Christian heresy of Gnosticism. Gnosticism itself is rooted in Platonic and Neo Platonic Schools that were sprouting up around the first century all over the Near East and the Levant. In the podcast Lindsay explains the basic ideas behind the heresy, which are rooted in an anti Christian theology. It explains a lot.

June 16, 2023 Jordan Peterson: You Might Already Be A Member | with Dr. James Lindsay.

This blog started as a research into a latter day rendition of the ideology: Postmodernism. The old blog, Pomo News is still available if you want to peruse it. Regrettably we never connected the dots as Lindsay did when he stumbled upon the Gnostic heresy. 

Nevertheless it is shocking that Lindsay continued to take Postmodernism seriously for so long. We understood very early on that truth, reality and serious enquiry are entirely irrelevant to Postmodernists. It's the first thing that follows.

But perhaps that does not stand out from inside the academic sphere. It must be stressed that all Marxists are experts in deception, with Postmodernists taking off with the Oscar. It's all a means to an end: seizing power in order to destroy Western culture by any means available.

A mere convenient lie and a bit of play acting is nothing to them. The lives of human beings have no value to them. Let alone their well being or their happiness. The more recent development of transgenderism is therefore not a major shock. On the contrary. Destroying the lives, minds and bodies of an entire generation of young people is exactly what can be expected.  We are dealing here with a demonically possessed tribal mentality.

Since the turn of the last century we have seen this movement going from bad to worse. Every time you think it has reached rock bottom, they come up with a new depravity. Without serious intervention at the spiritual level, it is anyone's guess where it will end. Author and classical scholar Victor Davis Hanson has ventured an optimistic guess with which we disagree. 

We answered the question of awareness and responsibility in a similar manner as Lindsay and Peterson. The trolls and orcs are just that. Rather dumb Antifa wannabe agents acting as they have been programmed to do: to go after the persons of individuals whose opinion differs, however infinitesimally, from their own hyper exacting, ultra radical Marxist standards. But only if they can do so cheaply. The moment the fight goes beyond trolling and throwing ad hominems around, they move on the next victim. 

The real culprits are the professors, the teachers and other intellectuals that are poisoning the minds of students and other  innocent victims who happen to fall into their clutches. They know exactly what they are doing.

Although naive CEOs of captive corporations like Target may have no idea what they are getting into, the active operators in the World Economic Forum, which includes a number of well know politicians, know very well what the hidden agenda is that is being pushed behind the innocent sounding ESG standards. 

In the discussion Peterson goes into the psychology underpinning Postmodernism, transgenderism and transhumanism which are all branches on the same Marxist tree. Lately he has come to reduce it psychologically to the role of the evil clown.

Recent research by the University of Berne and other investigations have found a strong correlation between people with left-wing authoritarian politics, narcissism and psychopathy. Keith Woods has the story which is worth quoting in full. 

"The research found a strong correlation between left authoritarianism and dark triad traits. It did not find greater altruism or commitment to social justice. They conclude that for these people their left-wing views are simply a way for them to express power over others.

In 1906, a socialist named John Spargo wrote on the pathologies he believed had informed the Bolshevik Revolution. Spargo had first hand contact with leading Bolsheviks. He was shocked by the ease with which they could hold contradictory views on issues like free speech.

Spargo observed what he called “Hysterical Hyperesthesia” [hysterical over-sensibility] among the Bolshevik leadership. Many of the symptoms of this condition he describes are things we would today associate with Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Indeed, recent studies suggests an extremely close relationship between narcissism and left-wing authoritarianism. Spargo's observations may be more universal than even he realised."

"Another who undertook the study of this topic was the psychotherapist Andrzej Lobaczewski. He coined the term "pathocracy" to describe the process where a pathological minority rule over a majority. Often these are intellectuals that seize on the discontent of a majority.

Lobaczewski had conducted secret research on the role of psychopaths in Communist Poland. He discussed how psychopaths quickly realize the traumatic effect their personalities have on others, and realize the power this gives them to advance their goals through terror.

Since ideology simply is a means for the psychopath to liberate themselves from what they feel are oppressive normal human customs, Lobaczewski warns "every great social movement can thereby become a host upon which some pathocracy initiates its parasitic life."

That insight is also vindicated by modern psychological research. This paper theorized that many narcissists holding left-wing authoritarian views would just as easily hold right-authoritarian views if it provided a better vehicle to satisfy the needs of their ego.

This means we would expect narcissists and psychopaths to be especially attracted to ascendant movements which allow them to cancel, dominate and terrorize others. Today this is provided by the radical left, especially in the form of anti whiteism and the trans movement."

The blog has long been discontinued, but the analyses of NASA psychologist Dr. Sanity on the subject were a joy to read. So all these recent conclusions are not new. But it is good to know it academically recognized at long last.
